Extending a Due Date
If the due date needs to be extended, the user can request a due date extension. The option to extend the due date is available in the Investigation, Implementation, and Closure phases.
- From the CAPA record, click Other Actions > Due Date Extension.
Result: The Due Date Extension Request window is displayed.
- Enter the title of the due date extension, such as Waiting for customer to return device for analysis.
- Enter a new date in the Revised Phase Due Date field.
- Enter a reason in the Reason for Extension field.
- Enter a summary in the Summary of activities completed at the time of extension request field.
- Click the Sign-off button.
Result: The Sign-off window is displayed.
- Enter your user ID and password and then click the Sign-off button.
Result: The due date extension is submitted.
